A seasoned communications professional in Central Texas, owner Christy Wylie has honed Mantra Marketing’s broad spectrum of marketing, public relations, and copywriting services with clients across industries ranging from real estate, construction, and green building technologies to senior living, healthcare, and education.
Christy began Mantra Marketing Services in 2009 after five years of providing in-house marketing, public relations and project management for Central Texas real estate development companies. While directing marketing and public relations efforts for Spicewood Development, a boutique, community homebuilder, she developed media plans, negotiated ad buys, conceptualized campaigns, created marketing collateral and managed media and customer relationships. Prior to that, Christy worked on several prestigious, downtown, high-rise condominium projects including the 5Fifty-Five atop the Hilton Austin. Her marketing career follows a five year career as a certified, professional educator teaching English in both Texas public high schools and in Eastern Europe.
Christy’s passion is writing and storytelling. Whether for news publications, blog posts, or marketing pieces, Christy can often be found hunched over her keyboard. She specializes in biographies and success stories, and is a contributing writer to Moxie Magazine and austinwoman Magazine.
Christy holds a bachelor’s degree in English and philosophy from Texas State University. She served two terms on the board of directors for Women in Communication Austin (WCA), during which time she co-chaired the award-winning annual professional development conference Get Smart. She is also a member of Freelance Austin.
